Lightworkers Academy organized the Yuvamanthan Model G20. A unique initiative for youth to excel in public speaking diplomacy and strategy on 19 August 2023. The summit witnessed the participation of 40 students acting as leaders of G20 nations in an actual G20 and act like leaders of the world and work together to create strategy for sustainability, peace and growth.
India’s G20 presidency works to promote the universal sense of oneness. Hence our theme was One Earth, One Family, One Future - Vasudeva Kutumbakam.
The agenda of the meeting was - Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction: Making sustainability a way of life. On this occasion, the Chief Guest Ms M. U Parimala Amudhan, the Principal of Maharishi Vidyamandir School addressed the gathering. The event began devotionally with lighting the lamp followed by a music and dance performances.
Two meetings had taken place – Agenda meeting is where the head of states discuss a sub-theme to be picked up. Secondly, the Track meeting in which Tracks bring forward the strategies. Each team gets a limited time to explain their point of views and why the world needs it.
Team building, strategic thinking, public speaking, economic negotiations, research & analysis, international diplomacy are qualities one can develop.
At the end of the day a communiqué arrived at. The prizes were distributed to the winners and the event was concluded with the vote of thanks followed by the National Anthem.
